Our vision for the future - Enabling disabled peoples’ ambitions 

To achieve our ambitions, we will deliver projects under the following areas to achieve our vision: 

Ambition 1: To inspire and educate. 

• We will create Primary School resources available for all pupils across England and Wales. The resource will inspire, raise awareness and educate pupils about diversity and disability, utilising disability and inclusive sport as the vehicle. We want all young disabled people to feel valued by their peers and inspired to be active. 

• We will create moments of inspiration for schools to engage with inspirational disabled sports people, and ensure that young disabled people are directed to suitable opportunities within their local community. 

• We aim to provide a task force of support for schools, providing advice and guidance on inclusive practice in PE and school sport.  

Ambition 2: Provide a person centred approach. 

• We will extend the model of the Nissan Possibilities project to support more disabled people from marginalised communities to access specialist equipment, mentoring and opportunities enabling them to achieve their goals. 

• We will provide a mentoring programme provided by disabled people for disabled people, supporting individuals to overcome barriers and challenges to activity. This growing community will support and empower one another.  

Ambition 3: Create inclusive communities. 

• We will provide a series of Run with Rich events. This inclusive fundraising event format is our signature event showing that everyone can take part their way.  

• We will overcome barriers to mass participation sports events through a collaborative approach with event organisers and the provision of trained volunteer friends who can guide or support individual who request support to take part. 

Ambition 4: Create sustainable change through improved representation. 

• We will celebrate, support, empower and upskill disabled people within our team including Board Trustees, mentors, volunteers or inspirational Ambassadors. 

Ambition 5: Influencing change. 

• We will use our platform to amplify the issues and challenges faced by disabled people accessing sport and physical activity and shine the light on solutions.  

• We will share the impact of our work, and share of the stories of beneficiaries we have supported. We will use case studies to influence change that can benefit more disabled people.
