Who is this for?
These places are open to ALL disabled people.
We welcome people with a wide range of lived experiences. You might identify as neurodiverse, have a physical, learning or sensory impairment, or live with a mental health condition. However you experience disability, you are welcome here.
We recognise that disability is not one-size-fits-all, and we value the different and often intersecting identities people bring. We’re particularly keen to hear from individuals we haven’t supported before, as we continue to grow a more diverse and inclusive community.
How to get involved
To request a place, simply email us at:
supportedrunner@whitehead.foundation
We'd love to hear a little about you and what has motivated you to take part.
We especially want to hear from people we haven’t supported before, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Deadline to express your interest: Thursday 20 August 2026.
What support is available?
We want to remove as many barriers as possible to taking part and we’re here to support you in preparing for the event. You can request a support runner to take part alongside you at either event.
What Is a Support Runner?
A support runner is someone who runs alongside you to provide physical and emotional support throughout the race. They can help with pacing, motivation, navigation, and responding to any additional needs on the day, helping you feel confident and safe from start to finish.
Visit our Supported Runner page for more information.
